Utopia Cruise (January 2025)

Wow… That’s the best way to describe this ship. Utopia of the Seas is absolutely the “The World’s Biggest Weekend”. This trip was planned as a birthday getaway for us to celebrate my birthday. A short 3-night cruise makes for a perfect long weekend plan. We cruised out of Port Canaveral and had port stops in Nassau and Coco Cay.

For this trip, Adam took care of booking everything for us and decided to book the airfare through Royal Caribbean. We have never booked flights through a cruise line before, so I was a little hesitant, especially since we were flying into Orlando on the morning of the flight. And my number one piece of cruise advice is to always fly in at least a day before. So, I was nervous to say the least! But everything in Pittsburgh went smoothly and we boarded our flights to Orlando. By 11am we had landed and were headed to our shuttle. We only packed carry-ons for this short trip which saved us a ton of time getting out of the airport. Orlando is known for being super busy and slow with luggage.

Since we were flying in the morning of the cruise, I had arranged transportation to the cruise terminal through Go Port. This shuttle service was quick and simple to use. I would highly recommend it to anyone that needs transportation for a Port Canaveral cruise. The bus ride to the port was about an hour.

After a quick drop off of our bags with the porters, we were headed into the terminal for check-in. The whole process was quick and simple, allowing us to get right onto the ship and start our vacation! As soon as we stepped onto Utopia, I was blown away. There’s so much to see and do on this ship that it’s impossible to experience it all on such a short cruise. The food options and bars throughout the ship are all so unique, having something perfect for everyone.
